The Practice is closed from 6pm Friday for the Bank Holiday Weekend and re opens at 8am on Tuesday.

IF YOU NEED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE WHEN THE PRACTICE IS CLOSED

If you have an eye problem, you should contact the Optician, as they have all the correct diagnostic equipment to deal with your health problem.

All dental problems you should contact your Dentist.

From 6pm on Friday until 8am on Tuesday if your condition can not wait until the practice reopens, you should contact NHS 24 on 111.

If your condition is life-threatening, you should call 999 or go straight to A&E. If it's an emergency, and you need access to urgent care, but it's not life-threatening, you should always first phone NHS 24 on 111.

What is NHS 24 service for?

NHS 24 on 111 can help you get the right care if

You think you need A&E, but it's not life threatening
Your General Practice or Dental Practice is closed and you cannot wait until they reopen.

When you call NHS24 on 111, they will assess and advise you on next steps.

Where a further medical assessment is required, NHS24 will refer you to the most appropriate health professional, if they think you need A&E, they will either advise you to attend A&E directly, or refer you to your local GP out of hours team for further assessment. This may involve a telephone or video call in the first instance, where clinically appropriate.

If necessary, they may arrange for you to arrive at hospital at a certain time. If they don't think you need to attend A&E they will help you get the care you need as quickly, safely, and as close to home as possible. For example, you might be asked to attend your local Minor Injuries Unit for non-life threatening but painful injuries, like cuts, minor burns, sprains and strains.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS

Your prescription request will not be actioned until the Practice re-opens on Tuesday 1st October. You can collect your prescription on Thursday 3rd October in the afternoon, after 4pm. If you collect your prescription from your local pharmacy, please check with them what their turnaround times are.

When the Practice is closed and you have ran out of your medication, you should contact your regular pharmacy. You can speak with the Pharmacist who may be able to supply you enough medication, until you receive your prescription.
